Welcome

Our friendly, inclusive school provides learners with high-quality teaching and learning in the most important phase of their education. Our children are well cared for and happy, and because of this they develop social skills in addition to achieving their full potential in all curriculum areas.

Our school promotes robust relationships with the whole school community to create a happy, secure, caring, and positive culture. We have an environment where all learners want to be and have access to a wealth of ambitious learning opportunities that enable them to reach their full potential.

Every learner is treated as an individual and as an important member of our school community. Our core values spell out care - we Collaborate, Achieve, have Respect and Encourage. These underpin our approach in facilitating the development of every learner and member of the school community to overcome any challenge they may encounter.

Our desire is for every learner to leave Purlwell with the firm foundations they need, ready to succeed in the next phase of their education, and in all their future goals.

We are situated in a beautiful Grade II listed Victorian building built in the 1800s, which was extended in 1983. There is a lawned garden area to the front of the school and to the exterior a large tarmac playground with a climbing frame, trim trail and small MUGA pitch. The Early Years Foundation stage has a separate extensive outdoor learning area.

We are proud of our school and our learners, and we look forward to working with you to help your child achieve their full potential.
